Quick tips
- Swipe down on a waveform with two fingers to clear its audio (default).
- Swipe up or down on a waveform with one finger to adjust its gain (default).
- Double-tap a waveform to open its full-page looper view.
- Hold a Q slot to record until you release. Swipe up to lock recording on, then tap to stop. Swipe down to clear.
- Double-tap an ordinary knob to reset it.
- Tap a Mod, Env, or Filter label to reveal its alternate controls.
- Swipe up or down on the RND button to adjust the RND amount.
- Select both Reverse and Forward while RND is on to use both directions.
- Double-tap a RND, MORPH, or LFO amount knob to include or exclude it.
- Hold Reset and tap a knob to reset only that control in RND, MORPH, or LFO.
- Swipe down on an A, B, or C tab in RND, MORPH, or LFO to clear its settings.
- Swipe down on All to clear that page for every looper.
- Swipe down on L1–L4 to clear its included routes.
- Swipe down on a REC preset to delete it. Built-in presets are hidden instead.
- Drag vertically on the oscilloscope to adjust gain. Drag horizontally to adjust sweep speed.
Getting started
- Start by tapping Import to load audio from a file or video, then tap Copy A/B/C to copy to another looper.
- Tap Import to load an audio file.
- Tap Copy A/B/C to copy audio from another looper.
- To record from the microphone, open REC, choose Mic for a looper, then tap Record.
- Press Play to start playback.
- Move the loop handles on the waveform to choose the loop region.
- Adjust the audio parameters with the knobs.
- To record your session, open REC and tap Record output to file.
Waveforms and loop selection
- Import loads audio into an empty looper.
- Copy A/B/C loads audio from another looper that contains audio.
- Drag near a selection edge to move that handle.
- Drag inside the selection to move the whole region without changing its length.
- Drag outside the selection to draw a new region.
- Pinch with two fingers to zoom the waveform.
- Move two fingers together to pan a zoomed waveform.
- Drag with 1 finger (default behaviour) to change waveform gain. This changes the level before effects.
- You can change this default in Waveform Gestures in Behaviour settings.
- Vol changes the level after effects.
- Waveform Gestures in Behaviour assigns gain and clear gestures.
- Looper C is a one-time purchase.
- Tap the locked C waveform or open Settings → App to unlock it.
Looper controls
- Record starts or stops recording from the source chosen on REC.
- Play starts or stops playback.
- Reverse and Forward set normal playback direction.
- While RND is on, both directions can be selected at the same time.
- Tap RND to turn random segment playback on or off.
- Swipe up or down on RND to change the overall RND amount.
- Tap the … beside RND to open the RND page for that looper.
- Morph blends from the current controls towards the targets on the MORPH page.
- Vol sets the looper's final output level.
- Press the left button on the MIX page parameter tabs to show Clear, Reset, and Lock.
- Clear stops the looper and removes its audio.
- Reset returns its audio parameters to their defaults without removing audio.
- Lock fixes the distance between the selection handles.
Quick slots
- Q Slots provide four fast-load audio slots.
- These can be shared between loopers (Q1–Q4) or separate (A1–A4, B1–B4, C1–C4).
- Configure this in Settings → Behaviour.
- Tap an empty slot to import audio.
- Tap a stored slot to load it into the current looper.
- Swipe up on a slot to start recording. Tap it to stop.
- Alternatively, hold a slot to record until you release.
- While holding, swipe up to lock recording on. Tap to stop.
- While holding, swipe down to cancel and clear the slot.
- Swipe down on a stored slot to delete its audio.
Audio parameters
- Tone
- Pitch changes playback speed and pitch from one octave down to one octave up.
- Drive adds saturation.
- EQ Lo, EQ Mid, and EQ Hi boost or cut low, middle, and high frequencies.
- Env
- Pan moves sound left or right.
- Attack fades each segment in.
- Hold keeps the segment at full level.
- Release fades the segment out.
- Filt Depth moves the low-pass cutoff with the envelope.
- Positive Filt Depth opens the filter. Negative depth closes it.
- Tap the selected Env tab or Env label to show AM Rate and AM Depth.
- AM Rate and AM Depth control fast volume modulation.
- Mod
- Vib Rate and Vib Depth control pitch wobble.
- Trm Rate and Trm Depth control volume pulsing.
- Crossfade smooths the jump from a loop's end back to its start.
- Tap the selected Mod tab or Mod label to show phase modulation controls.
- PM A, PM B, and PM C use audio from those loopers as phase-modulation sources.
- PM Sine uses an internal sine oscillator.
- Sine Rate runs from 20 Hz to 2 kHz and follows the looper's pitch.
- Chorus
- Rate sets modulation speed.
- Depth sets modulation distance.
- Feedback returns chorus output to its input.
- Mix sets the dry and processed balance.
- Bit
- Rate reduces sample rate.
- Bits reduces bit depth.
- Jitter varies the downsampling clock.
- Mix sets the dry and crushed balance.
- Dust adds surface noise, crackle, compression, and saturation.
- Delay
- Dly Time sets echo time.
- Dly Fdbk sets how much echo returns.
- Stereo moves repeats from centred towards ping-pong feedback.
- Filter changes the tone of delay repeats.
- Dly Mix sets the dry and delayed balance.
- Delay Time Changes chooses pitch-stable Crossfade or pitch-bending Tape changes.
- Reverb
- Rev Size selects room size.
- Rev Mix sets the dry and reverberated balance.
- Filter
- HPF removes frequencies below its cutoff.
- LPF removes frequencies above its cutoff.
- HPF Res and LPF Res emphasise the cutoff frequencies.
- Drag the live-spectrum handles to set HPF and LPF.
- Tap the selected Filter tab on MIX to switch between the spectrum and four knobs.
- Tap the Filter label on a full looper page to switch between cutoff and resonance.
- Show Hidden Parameters displays PM, AM, and filter resonance as full rows on RND, MORPH, and LFO.
RND page
- A, B, and C choose one looper to edit.
- All edits every looper.
- The Oct row chooses the octave shifts available to random segments.
- Len
- Min and Max set the segment-length range.
- Rep
- Min and Max set how many times a segment may repeat.
- Prob sets the chance that each repeat or rhythm step sounds.
- A skipped repeat or step still takes its normal time.
- Voices sets one to four simultaneous random voices in Free and Phrase modes.
- Free keeps choosing new random segments.
- Phrase creates a set of loop groups, then repeats it.
- Loops sets the number of groups in a Phrase.
- Drift gradually changes stored groups while keeping their repeats consistent.
- Rhythm plays the stored sequence as timed one-shot events.
- Tempo sets the step speed.
- Steps sets the sequence length.
- Density sets how many steps play.
- Timing moves events towards their stored off-grid positions.
- Drift occasionally replaces individual events.
- Sync makes Rhythm follow the shared BPM.
- On All, BPM sets the shared tempo.
- On a looper, Ratio sets its speed against the shared BPM.
- Ratio choices are ÷4, ÷3, ÷2, 2:3, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, ×2, ×3, and ×4.
- Without Sync, Tempo controls that looper independently.
- Regen creates a new Phrase or Rhythm pattern.
- Other Phrase and Rhythm knobs reinterpret the current pattern without replacing it.
- Param
- All sets the overall range for included parameters.
- Show expands the individual range controls.
- Hide collapses them.
- Shuffle creates new range amounts.
- Max sets included amounts to maximum.
- Reset returns included amounts to zero.
- A dimmed amount is excluded from All, Shuffle, Max, and Reset.
- Double-tap an amount to include or exclude it.
- Hold Reset and tap an amount to reset only that control.
- Swipe down on a looper tab to clear that looper's RND settings.
- RND All-Tab Shuffle chooses linked or independent results on All.
- L1 Rate–L4 Rate set how strongly each LFO rate is randomised.
- The other amount knobs set ranges for the matching audio parameters.
MORPH page
- A, B, and C choose one looper to edit.
- All edits every looper.
- Swipe down on a looper tab to clear its MORPH settings.
- Swipe down on All to clear MORPH settings for every looper.
- The Morph knob between A and B blends towards the targets on this page.
- Opening MORPH does not change RND ranges.
- Moving a MORPH control activates its own target set.
- Shuffle creates new B targets for included controls.
- Reset returns every target to its default without moving the Morph knob.
- Link on All gives every looper the same targets and Morph amount.
- The parameter knobs set B targets directly.
- Bipolar controls can target values above or below their starting values.
- Double-tap a target to include or exclude it from Morph and Shuffle.
- Hold Reset and tap a target to reset only that control.
- Morph → LFO adds L1–L4 controls to MORPH.
- These controls show Rate for oscillator LFOs and Sensitivity for envelope followers.
- Morph ← LFO adds Morph as a destination on the LFO page.
- Choose the connection with Morph/LFO Direction in Behaviour.
LFO page
- A, B, and C choose one looper to edit.
- All edits every looper.
- L1–L4 choose one of four modulation slots.
- Swipe down on a looper tab to clear included routes in all its LFO slots.
- Swipe down on an LFO tab to clear included routes in that slot.
- Rate sets cycles per second.
- On a looper tab, tap the shape to cycle through Sine, Tri, Saw, Ramp, Square, and S&H.
- Looper tabs can also follow the envelopes of the other two loopers.
- All only cycles through oscillator shapes.
- An envelope follower shows Sensitivity instead of Rate.
- Its glow follows the detected audio level.
- Each route knob sets modulation depth for its named destination.
- Routes include Vol and can include Morph.
- Double-tap a route to include or exclude it from Shuffle and Reset.
- Shuffle creates new depths for included routes.
- Behaviour settings can also let Shuffle change oscillator type and rate.
- Shuffle never changes an envelope-follower source.
- Reset clears the included routes in the selected LFO slot.
- Hold Reset and tap a route to reset only that route.
- LFO Depth
- Bipolar -1…+1 lets negative and positive depths move in opposite directions.
- Unipolar 0…1 runs from no modulation to the destination's full range.
- Envelope Follower chooses pre-fader or post-fader detection.
- Pre-fader detection still responds when the source Vol is down.
- LFO All-Tab Shuffle chooses linked or independent results on All.
REC page
- Main records Laleuca's mixed output.
- Host records audio sent into the plug-in.
- Main, Host, and looper outputs are separate source choices.
- Main records Laleuca's mixed output.
- The input button cycles through Mic, an attached USB input, and Link when available.
- Main, Mic, USB, and looper outputs are separate source choices.
- Link can be combined with looper outputs.
- A, B, and C select looper outputs as the recording source.
- Several looper outputs can be combined.
- Drag across the REC matrix to change several routes.
- A newly connected USB input becomes the preferred hardware input for every looper.
- Current Main and looper-output routes do not change when USB connects.
- Hardware Input Toggle shares the Mic/USB preference or remembers it separately for each looper.
- Automatic Mic Mode may apply Voice Isolation, making instruments and room sound very quiet.
- To use Standard, select Mic, open Control Centre, tap Laleuca Controls, and choose Standard.
- Only iOS can change Mic Mode. It remembers the choice separately for each app.
- Each looper row has Record, Play, Auto Rec, and a cycle-length knob.
- The All row applies these controls to every available looper.
- Auto Rec records again at the selected interval.
- A ring around Record counts down a pending start.
- The same ring shows progress during a recording cycle.
- Replace makes a new take on each cycle.
- Overdub mixes each new recording with the previous take.
- Feedback sets how much of the previous take remains.
- A → B → C and Main → A → B → C are built-in routing presets.
- Tap an empty preset slot to name and save the current routes.
- Tap a named preset to recall it.
- Swipe down on a custom preset to delete it.
- Swipe down on a built-in preset to hide it and reuse its slot.
- Restore Default REC Presets restores the two built-in presets.
- Output recording can capture any combination of Input, Main, A, B, and C.
- Choose a folder before starting output recording.
- Output recording can capture any combination of Main, A, B, and C.
- Main is the final mix. A, B, and C are isolated post-effects stems.
- All selected output files share one timeline.
- Include Effect Tails keeps recording delay and reverb after the selected sources stop.
- Tap Finish effect tails now to end the tail early.
- Tail capture ends after sustained silence or 10 seconds.
- A two-second safety fade prevents a hard cutoff.
Projects
- Save New Project stores the current studio under a new name.
- A project includes looper and quick-slot audio.
- It also includes selections, parameters, RND, rhythm, MORPH, and LFO settings.
- Open replaces the current studio with the saved project.
- Projects open stopped.
- Save overwrites the project after confirmation.
- Copy creates a separate duplicate.
- Rename changes the project name.
- Delete removes the project's saved files after confirmation.
- LOADED marks the project currently open.
- Output filenames can include the current project name.
Appearance settings
- Loop Colours sets the colours for A, B, C, and All.
- Themes changes the full colour palette.
- Loop-colour choices carry across themes.
- Parameter Size changes knob and button sizes.
- Oscilloscope Appearance selects Waveform, Orbit, or Stereo.
- Open the oscilloscope from Settings.
- Drag vertically on it to change gain.
- Drag horizontally on it to change sweep speed.
- Tap it without dragging to close it.
- Spectrogram selects Boxes, Bars, or Line behind the Filter controls.
- Show Morph/Vol Labels shows or hides the transport-knob labels.
- Show Hidden Parameters gives PM, AM, and filter resonance their own rows on RND, MORPH, and LFO.
- LFO Glow animates the LFO rate or sensitivity knob.
- Knob Fill Animation controls all activity fills.
- LFO Fill Animation and RND Fill Animation control those fills separately.
Behaviour settings
- Auto Rec Mode chooses Replace or Overdub for each looper.
- The All row applies one Auto Rec mode or Feedback value to every looper.
- Effect Order changes the shared effects signal path.
- Drag effect rows to reorder them.
- Reset Effect Order restores the default order.
- Pitch always stays before the reorderable effects.
- A new effect order applies after all loopers and recordings stop.
- Import Sources chooses whether Import offers File, Video, or both.
- At least one import source always remains enabled.
- Q Slots chooses shared or per-looper banks.
- Background Audio keeps playback running while the app is minimised.
- Hardware Input Toggle shares the Mic/USB preference or remembers it separately for each looper.
- Tap Loaded Q to Clear lets a loaded slot clear its looper when tapped again.
- Swipe down still deletes the slot's stored audio.
- Waveform Gestures enables Adjust Loaded Audio Gain and Clear Loaded Audio.
- Each waveform action can use one or two fingers.
- The two actions cannot use the same finger count.
- If handle overtakes playhead chooses Reset Immediately or Reset on Release.
- Reset on Release waits until the loop ends or the gesture finishes.
- Delay and Reverb Tails lets those effects decay after Play stops a looper.
- Delay Time Changes chooses pitch-stable Crossfade or pitch-bending Tape transitions.
- Stagger Auto Record offsets A, B, and C when Auto Rec starts from All.
- Keep Auto Rec Handles preserves each looper's proportional selection when a new take loads.
- Keep RND Directions keeps the selected Forward and Reverse choices when RND turns off.
- Keep Playhead Through RND keeps the normal loop clock moving behind RND.
- Turning RND off then resumes from that clock position.
- RND All-Tab Shuffle selects linked or independent RND results.
- LFO All-Tab Shuffle selects linked or independent LFO results.
- Envelope Follower chooses Post-Fader or Pre-Fader detection.

- Morph/LFO Direction chooses which feature controls the other.
- LFO Depth chooses Bipolar -1…+1 or Unipolar 0…1.
- Keep Controls saves looper controls and settings between launches.
- Keep Audio saves looper and quick-slot audio between launches.
- Keep RND Groups saves which RND controls are included.
Recording settings
- Format chooses WAV, M4A (ALAC), or M4A (AAC).
- Sample Rate chooses 44.1 or 48 kHz.
- Channels chooses mono or stereo.
- Bit Depth chooses 16-bit or 24-bit output for WAV and ALAC.
- AAC Bit Rate chooses 128, 192, or 256 kbps.
- Peak Protection prevents exported levels from exceeding the available range.
- Restore Default Quality selects 48 kHz stereo, 24-bit WAV with Peak Protection on.
- File Name can include Custom Name, Project, Source, Date, Time, and Take.
- Tap a filename part to include or exclude it.
- Drag filename rows to reorder them.
- Source stays included when several files need distinct names.
- Preview shows the resulting filename.
- Save Location chooses a folder in Files, including iCloud Drive.
- The default location is Laleuca Documents.
- The plug-in needs a chosen folder before output recording can start.
- After Recording chooses Auto Save or Confirm Save / Delete.
- The confirmation screen can change filename parts for the finished take.
- Recording End chooses Stop Immediately or Include Effect Tails.
- Output settings are unavailable while output recording is active.
- Restore Default REC Presets restores the two built-in routing presets.
AUv3
- Follow Host Transport starts loaded loopers when the host starts.
- It stops them when the host stops.
- On REC, Host is audio sent into the plug-in.
- Main is Laleuca's mixed output.
- Output recording can capture Input separately from Main and looper stems.
- Choose an output folder on REC or in Recording settings.
- Output recording cannot start until a folder is selected.
- The standalone app manages the Looper C purchase.
- Reset Plug-in affects only the current plug-in instance.
- AUM manages MIDI routing, MIDI Learn, Ableton Link, and host automation.
- Use the host controls instead of the standalone Beta controls.
MIDI
- The host manages MIDI routing and learning for AUv3.
- In AUM, use MIDI Control or Control Finder to map Laleuca parameters.
- The plug-in does not start a separate MIDI input service.
- Open Settings → Beta → MIDI for MIDI controls.
- MIDI Input accepts Control Change messages from USB, network, and Bluetooth MIDI.
- Open Bluetooth MIDI Devices to connect a Bluetooth device.
- For manual mapping, choose an All or looper destination.
- Choose Omni or channel 1–16, then enter CC 0–127.
- Tap Map Selected Destination to CC to save it.
- Learn Selected Destination maps the next incoming CC.
- Tap Cancel MIDI Learn to stop waiting.
- Destinations include global Play, Record, and Shuffle.
- They also include looper transport, Morph, Vol, audio parameters, PM, AM, and resonance.
- Each destination has one mapping. A new mapping for it replaces the old one.
- Soft Takeover waits for the hardware control to reach the current app value.
- This prevents sudden value jumps.
- Mappings shows each destination, channel, and CC.
- Use its trash button to remove one mapping.
- Clear All removes every mapping.
Ableton Link
- The host manages Ableton Link for AUv3.
- Use the host's Link controls.
- Open Settings → Beta → Ableton Link to join or leave the local Link session.
- Link & Audio options… opens Ableton's Link Audio and Start/Stop controls.
- iOS asks for Local Network access when Link is first enabled.
- Link status shows Link, Link Audio, connected peers, and session BPM.
- Send Audio publishes selected Main, A, B, or C channels to Link Audio peers.
- Main is selected by default.
- Audio is sent only while another peer subscribes.
- Receive Audio lists channels published by peers.
- Select a channel and turn Monitor Incoming Audio on to receive it.
- Audible monitoring adds incoming audio to Main.
- Silent monitoring keeps it available for REC without adding it to Main.
- Incoming Link Audio uses an adaptive safety buffer.
- The health display reports buffering, missing packets, timing gaps, and underruns.
- Link appears as a REC input when Link Audio is active, connected, and monitoring a channel.
- Link can be combined with selected looper outputs.
App and support
- Open the standalone app to buy or restore Looper C.
- An unlocked purchase is also available to the plug-in.
- Reset Plug-in stops this instance and deletes its loaded audio.
- It also restores this instance's controls and presets.
- It does not change the standalone app.
- Open Settings → App to buy or restore Looper C.
